h the same amount of enthusiasm the Bishnupriya Manipuri Nagarik Samity NCR had organized the Kang festival or Khechuri Paali on Saturday 27th of June 2009. More than 130 people witnessed the day beating the 47 degree hot atmosphere. Though it started a bit late from the scheduled time of 5 pm , but by 6.30 pm the campus was reverberating with Amar Thar.
Many who is who of the community were present in the paali , and it also witnessed few guest outside Delhi like Sh. Debojyoti Sinha, Supt. Central Excise , Mumbai, and Col Vijay Sinha, and Sh. Madhusudhan Rajkumar, Baroda and RK Chandrakanta Sinha , Guwahati.
Though the “ khechuri” prepared by Mr. Raju was not upto the mark which he culdnt Prepare due to the excessive heat and humidity , despite all those present has witnessed an earth shaking , rocking Joydev. All thanks goes to Col Vijay Sinha ( Ishalpa) , Sh Masdhusudan Rajkumar ( Duhar) and Sh. Aswini Sinha ( Dakula) . The trio along with others who were all in Dhuti and Punjabi made the environment so lively and rocking that the place has instantly became a malthep in Patherkandi or Meherpur. For some time it was only Haa Haai Re……Ae… in the air.. It to mention that the Joydev , recited by Col Vijay was in our own Emar Thar…

The Joydev and the people who danced are definitely the talk of the town at least upto the next grand festival we the Bishnupriya Manipuri of NCR are going to observe….
