Bishnupriya Manipuri’s own R K Laxman, Girok Swapan Sinha makes his debut as Director with HAROU

Girok Swapan Sinha, the popular Cartoonist of Barak Valley, Assam, famously known as Babrubahon, makes his debut as a Director by releasing his first Bishnupriya Manipuri music video, HAROU. Before HAROU Swapan Sinha has been seen in the first Bishnupriya Manipuri commercial movie, ADARE MRINGAAL as the lead actor.Apart from his romance with the reel, Swapan Sinha is also an acclaimed painter, writer and a sculptor. Some of his paintings have been purchased by Indira Gandhi Art Center and Srimanto Shankardev Kalakhetra.

While watching Harou lets forget about the loopholes, as we have just started dabbling with this medium. The brilliant move in this music video is the introduction of the song
‘Sup Karou Dil Nai’. The icing on the cake is the amazing choreography and the
conceptualization of this song. Watch it to believe it. The final high comes on the rendition of the song by Gautam Sinha.
Sup Korou dil nai has been written by the great Jagat Mohan Sinha. Bishnupriya Manipuris, especially the youngsters should go through the lyrics of this song to understand the richness and the originality of the Bishnupriya Manipuri language. This song is a screaming proof that Bishnupriya Manipuri as a language has enough words for its own. All we need to know is hunt, archive and write in original Bishnupriya Manipuri as much as we can.
